Back-to-School Excitement: PreK Program Launch

Back-to-School Excitement: PreK Program Launch

As the new school year approaches, Adera is thrilled to welcome 32 eager students to our PreK program, Class of 2039! These children, who have been part of our daycare, are ready to embark on their educational journey. At Adera, we believe in fostering curiosity and leadership from a young age.

Learning Through Play and Discovery

In our daycare, children learn both the English alphabet and the Amharic alphabet’s 238 characters. They explore shapes, colors, and domestic and wild animals. It’s a joy to see a 3-year-old lead the class through letters and numbers with confidence.

  • Interactive Learning: Kids take turns teaching their peers, making learning a shared adventure.
  • Creative Activities: Books, puzzles, and dancing ensure a well-rounded education.
  • Daily Lessons: Reciting lessons with excitement, students sit with legs outstretched and arms crossed, absorbing everything from Ms. Selam, Ms. Tigist, and Ms. Tsion.

Bridging the Education Gap

At Adera, we’re aware that the skills nurtured in our daycare are often lost in other institutions due to inadequate resources and teacher-to-student ratios of 1 to 40-50. This year, we’re taking a step forward to ensure that doesn’t happen.

Introducing Adera’s PreK Program

We are launching our own PreK program with a bilingual curriculum in English and Amharic. Our mission is to provide a supportive environment with a student-to-teacher ratio of 1 to 20.

  • Quality Curriculum: Thoughtfully designed to support every child’s needs.
  • Bilingual Learning: Encouraging proficiency in both English and Amharic
  • Personalized Attention: Ensuring that every child gets the focus they need to thrive.

The Year of Big Dreams

We are calling this year “The Year of Big Dreams” as we envision a bright future for our children. The Class of 2039 will be prepared for their futures, thanks to your support.

Sponsorship Opportunities

Out of our 32 PreK students, 7 are still in need of sponsorship. Your generous support can make a world of difference in their education and future. Join us in making dreams a reality!

Adera’s Pursuit of Excellence

Finding a government-approved facility for our PreK program has been challenging, but we’re committed to making it happen. If needed, we’ll start the program within our daycare, maintaining our high standards.

  • Facility Search: Actively pursuing a space that meets government standards.
  • Alternative Plan: Implementing PreK in the daycare as a preschool avenue if needed.

Your Impact

Your donations are crucial in nurturing the leaders of tomorrow. Thanks to your support, our students are not only learning but flourishing in an environment that values education, love, and hope.

Help Us Build Their Future

We invite you to partner with us in shaping the future of these young learners. Together, we can empower them to dream big and achieve their fullest potential. Please welcome the Class of 2039!

Thank you for being a part of the Adera family. Your loving support fuels our mission to provide quality education and a brighter future for the children in our care.
